Wow, my baby is seven months old! Although I get a little teary at the thought of my tiny baby growing up and getting bigger, it’s true that he is a lot more fun and interactive now.
William doesn’t have any teeth yet, so he has the cutest gummy smile that crinkles his nose and lights up his whole face.
He has also mastered a soulful gaze with his baby blues.
A tooth has started making its way through his gums on the bottom, so it should be making an appearance any day now.
He is still rolling around like crazy and I have to make sure our whole family room is baby safe because I never know where I will find him when I turn my back for a second.
It’s heartwarming to see how happy he is when we help him sit and stand up.
I’m sure it won’t be long until he is sitting on his own.
William finally got the hang of peek-a-boo and plays it with us by taking his muslin blanket and covering his eyes. His jumperoo is keeping him busy and he has figured out how to bounce around in it.
He doesn’t seem to have any stranger or separation anxiety yet. He loves smiles and attention from people he doesn’t know, and cuddles from Mike’s relatives that we don’t get to see that often.
He loves having solid foods and the plastic bib with large crumb catcher that I got is a lifesaver! We are introducing new foods every few days and he has really loved sweet potatoes, zucchini, lentils and bananas so far, but doesn’t seem to be picky.
He’s definitely a daddy’s boy and lights up whenever Mike gets home from work.
He loves when Mike reads him stories and plays guitar to him.
It really mellows him out, so Mike often plays for him before bedtime.
William was a party animal at his “Half Birthday party” with all of his little pals who are around 5-7 months. It is so cute to see them play together.
We just booked the trip that we are most excited about so far: a visit home! We can’t wait to see family and friends again and introduce William to everybody! We are counting down the days until we get this little nugget on Canadian soil for some quality time with his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!
