Mike pointed out to me that William has now been out of the womb longer than he was in it, which is pretty crazy to think about. It feels like William has been in our lives for a long time, but my pregnancy didn’t really seem that long.
Half of this month was spent in Canada visiting friends and family.
I forgot to mention another highlight of our trip home was my brother visiting from Vancouver. It was the first time our whole immediate family has been together in over a year! Of course, we had to break out the camera and snap a few photos. You might be getting a preview of this year’s Christmas Card!
William had a really good appetite when we were at home. He even had his first taste of home-cooked Ukrainian food! It is quite entertaining to see him eat his finger foods and foods with more texture.
We thought the commotion of a busy household, lots of kids running around and meeting new people everyday might be a little much for William, but he took it all in stride. He really hasn’t shown any stranger anxiety yet and always enjoys looking at people on the tube and charming them with his smiles.
Going on the swings at the park has become one of his favorite things to do.
We’ve started taking more videos when we are out and about because we think they will be wonderful keepsakes to look back on, especially the ones with London’s iconic settings in the background.
We visited a new installation in Covent Garden that has over 100 000 balloons! William was mesmerized.
William seems to be on the verge of crawling.
Life will get a lot more hectic once that happens! As it is, he covers quite the distance with his rolling and always manages to roll off his mat to start chewing on the edge of the rug or foam play mat.
His favorite thing to say is “ba ba ba”. I guess now it is a competition between Mike and I whether he will say “mama” or “dada” next. I’ll keep you posted!
